Meet Robert McKenzie

Republican Robert McKenzie of Houston is a longtime Texan who is obliged by his duty, commitment, and service to Houston to be a strong voice for his district and all Texans in Austin. 


Robert’s significant, extensive, and relevant government and business experience includes:


  • City of Houston Manager for the Public Works, Finance & Administration, and Aviation departments
  • N.A.S.A. Program Director for Space Shuttle and Space Station programs
  • PricewaterhouseCoopers Director of Global Energy for clients Texaco, Shell, Chevron, BP, and ConocoPhillips for strategy, process, and information technology projects worldwide
  • Oppenheimer & Co. Financial Advisor and Registered Representative managing client investments
  • NFLPA certified contract advisor (“NFL Agent”) representing NFL players
  • He is focused on being State Representative for District 137 (Houston, Harris County) addressing the important issues that impact all Texans including public safety, border security, improved infrastructure, better education, fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, energy independence, and economic opportunity and development for all.
  • Robert received his B.A. undergraduate degree in Political Science in International Relations & Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles (U.C.L.A.), and his M.A. graduate degree from the University of Houston (U.H.) in Public Administration and Urban Planning. 
  • He authored a five volume pentalogy, The Chair, a historical fictional saga of the past, present, and future of the Great State of Texas and the United States of America.
  • Robert was Student Body President at Huffman High School located along the shores of Lake Houston in Texas.
